INTRODUCING LMP-

LOGAN MARINE PROJECTS

ESTABLISHED 2020

Passionate about the Hauraki Gulf and it's fragile ecosystems, Jamie and Joanna Logan established Logan Marine Projects back in 2020, with the vision of long term sustainability of the Gulf and coastline's treasures.

Combining our skills from years working on the water,  commercially and recreationally, with engineering, we bring to LMP a multitude of skills and functions - a 'think outside the box' mentality to get things done.

To date, we have been involved with a number of exciting projects. Scallop and Horse-mussel spat collection design, capture and grow-out facilities. Underwater Drone surveys around the coast of Waiheke and Aotea for for the invasive Caulerpa seaweed, as well as building our catalogue of drone surveys throughout the Hauraki Gulf.

This work has been a massive undertaking with limited outside funding, however the data collected to date is enlightening.

With the recent changes to the Scallop industry, and local Rahui's being placed on certain areas, this is a very apt time for us to be contributing  to the scallop population understanding and  enhancement.

Clean seas, healthy seas has a flow on effect to everything living thing on earth. If the scallops and other shellfish populations are healthy and thriving, this is a great start to looking after our marine eco-systems.

We harbour a true love for the HGMP, and North Islands Coastline having grown up exploring almost each and every bay, fishing, diving, and the simple enjoyment of freshly caught sea-food.

Preserving this for future generations is paramount to everything we do.
